1. Now I swear unto you, to the wise and to the foolish, for you shall see many (things) upon the earth.
2. For you men shall put on more jewelry than women, and more multicolored ornaments than a virgin.
In sovereignty, in grandeur, and in authority, (in) silver, in gold, in clothing, in honor, and in edibles-- they shall be poured out like water.
3. For this reason, they are devoid of knowledge and wisdom, so they shall perish thereby together with their goods and together with all their glory and honor. Then in dishonor, in slaughter, and in great misery, their spirits shall be cast away.
