THE STORY BEHIND MYSTIC RIDER RANCH



A several years ago, our youngest daughter became intensely interested in horses, as many teens and pre-teens here in Florida do. We felt that her interest could become a learning experience which would help to mature her, apply responsibility principles we taught her, and give her an opportunity for sharing the awesome genius of our God with others.

Her first horse had to be more than a trail hack, since we would want her bred to produce quality foals. But, we wanted a horse gentle enough to show to children's church kids. Enter, Honor Thy Win, a 15.3 hand AQHA mare. A bit rough around the edges at first, but Honor Thy Win would learn quickly, and became an outstanding example of what can be done with a little TLC and discipline.

Our next horse was a grey 15.2 hand Polish Arabian mare, SS Last Edition. Her gentle spirit and grace has been a blessing to us. Once again, we wanted to breed her with a major consideration toward conformation, intelligence and disposition. SS Late Edition certainly fit those requirements. We later acquired a Royal Zaltar grandaughter, a black Arabian, we call Gala. More Arabians are in the making here, so check our FOR SALE page often.

We are delighted that Chad and Erica Fulk have purchased SS Last Edition's colt, Calico Prince, and are training the beautiful Triple-Registered multi-colored Show Horse for future stud work and show. Mystic Rider Ranch is a small ranch in the Ocala National Forest area with no aspirations to become a "Dallas spread." We probably won't grow much in the future, but we love what we are doing, and thank the Lord for the privilege of being able to see so much of His incredible creation. Mystic Rider ranch began and continues as a labor of love.
